ATSG West Leasing Converts Boeing 737-400 for Okay Airways

On Aerospace Technology, there is an article posted that talks about how ATSG West Leasing is working to convert two of the Boeing 737-400 aircrafts for China’s Okay Airways. The Ireland based subsidiary ATSG West Leasing (ATSG) has these Boeing company aircrafts on lease for around seven years. These planes will hopefully be delivered sometime later in 2017.

The facility in which ATSG West Leasing will convert the Boeing 737-400’s is at the Florida location at Tampa International Airport in the United State.

To be specific, the conversion will entail the 737-400s to be equipped with 11 new pallet positions which will then allow the aircraft to carry a pay load of 48,000 lbs.

Here is what ATSG West Leasing managing director Brad Heath said about the whole conversion process. “This initiative leverages the core capabilities of PEMCO, ATSG West Leasing and of our strategic partners in China.”

Just this February, there was a deal secured by PEMCO in which the China based YTO Cargo Airlines will be converting three of its B737-300 planes into freighters.
